The Expand and Explore format is designed for students with prior yoga experience and is ideal for graduates of Yoga for Beginners courses. An eight-week series allows participants to expand their personal practice in a supportive group setting. Each series focuses on a specific style and/or theme to broaden your yoga experience.
While all Expand and Explore series will provide participants with a rewarding yoga experience, the level of physical challenge desired varies from student to student. To help a student choose the series that’s best for each of them, we have given a physical challenge rating for each series of Easy, Moderate or Strong.

At the end of the series you’ll receive full credit for classes missed and not made up during the series (ie: $10 for each missed class). You may apply this credit to yoga classes or merchandise at the Westfield Yoga Center “Yoga Mall”.
Register for a 2nd eight-week series that overlaps the 1st and receive a 20% off the fee for the 2nd series.
While enrolled in an eight-week series, you may attend additional classes from the drop-in schedule for half price, only $6 per class! This half price bonus does not apply to Expand and Explore classes attended on a drop in basis.

Expand the depth of your physical practice through Vinyasa Yoga, a flowing form of yoga linking movement with breath, creating meditation in motion. Each class will end with Yoga Nidra, an extended period of deep relaxation. Explore this ancient technique where deep stillness helps to release blockages in the body that show up as tension, stress and ill health.

Yoga Core focuses on strengthening the central corset of the body, including the abs, obliques, erector spinae, gluteals, and muscles of the upper back and chest. This can be used to help reshape participants' problem spots, or strengthen and support the musculature that will help to prevent low back concerns and postural issues as we age. Learn poses for muscle-blasting and healing workouts.

Have only a short time to exercise? Join Sally for this 45 minute lunchtime yoga class. Forget the stress of the morning and get energized for the afternoon. Come every Wednesday for your mid-week pick me up!

This series is designed for those familiar with the basics of yoga, but would like to gain more ease and comfort in their practice. Any struggles in physical postures detract from the experience of ease and comfort, called sthira and sukha in yoga.
In each class, Genea will lead you through various warm-ups and postures plus highlight a chosen posture for attention to the specific details of alignment. A satisfying relaxation will complete your class.
